Baobab is a genus of eight species of deciduous bushes within the household Malvaceae, native to Madagascar, mainland Africa, Australia, and the Arabian Peninsula. The generic title is derived from the Arabic phrase bu hibab, which means “fruit with many seeds”.
Baobab bushes are identified for his or her distinctive look, with a swollen trunk and branches that resemble roots. They’re additionally identified for his or her longevity, with some specimens estimated to be over 1,000 years previous.
